Our story began in 2021 with two Zimbabwean friends, a love for food, and a big, flaky dream. Nilesh and Rajen met in college, bonded over field hockey, fishing trips, and family milestones, and eventually reunited in Houston—ready to build something of their own. With Nilesh’s roots in his father’s pie shop and Rajen’s business chops, they mixed tradition, hustle, and bold flavor into what became 2 Phat Bastard Pies.
What started at local markets has grown into a full-on tribute to their heritage: Indo-African savory pies, handmade and packed with love. Every pie tells a story—from the spices of Bulawayo to the streets of H-Town. Family-run, flavor-driven, and proudly phat—we’re here to feed your cravings and your soul.
